Liquid Light Introduces Brut and Brut Rosé to Lineup of Flavorful, Lower Calorie Wines

Paterson, Wash.

Launched in 2019 by Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, the rapidly growing Liquid Light wine brand has recently introduced a Brut and Brut Rosé to its popular line-up of flavourful, crisp and refreshing wines that are naturally lower in calories. With no added sugar and only 95 calories per 5oz glass, Liquid Light wines are crafted to fit into mindful lifestyles without compromising taste or enjoyment. The portfolio includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé and Pinot Grigio with a suggested retail price of $17 and the new Brut and Brut Rosé at $22. All Liquid Light wines are available nationally and can be found using the store locator at www.liquidlightwine.com

The Liquid Light Brut projects a vibrant array of fresh citrus blossom, green apple and honey flavors with a flash of crisp acidity typical of Washington State’s cool climate. The Liquid Light Brut Rosé offers fresh strawberry, blood orange and cherry flavors with fresh acidity and effervescence.

“I’m very excited to add the sparkling wines to the Liquid Light portfolio”, said winemaker Guy Barnes. “They add their own distinct qualities but continue the common thread of fresh fruit and lively acidity. The winemaking team blended these to showcase amazing fruit quality, and with the assist of the bubbles the bright Washington fruit jumps from the glass.”

Liquid Light wines inherently offer fewer calories without manipulating the wine with additives, chemicals, or by using a dealcoholization process, allowing the wines to reach a standard ABV. The grapes are sourced from cooler sites in Washington’s Columbia Valley, farmed specifically to ripen fruit at lower sugar levels. Grapes are harvested earlier in the season to preserve bright acidity and naturally lower grape sugars.

Wine drinkers seeking full-flavored, enjoyable wines that fit into their mindful lifestyle have propelled Liquid Light to the No. 2 wine brand in the “better for you” category and driven remarkable 26% brand growth year over year.

“With the introduction of Liquid Light Brut and Brut Rosé, we’re bringing together two of the wine category’s fastest-growing segments – “better for you” and sparkling wine – to create a guilt-free glass of bubbles that’s perfect for brunch, an evening celebration, or anything in between,” said Phillip Cleveland, Direct of Marketing, Liquid Light. “Because Liquid Light is full-flavored and naturally lower in calories and sugar, our drinkers can find perfect balance in a glass of wine without any sacrifice.”

About Liquid Light

Launched in 2019, Liquid Light wines are a modern take on classic varietals, with no added sugar and only 95 calories per 5oz glass. The wines offer 100% of the flavor, and 0% of the guilt. The line-up includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Brut and Brut Rosé. We have made it our mission to create a wine so delicious and satisfying that consumers forget that it is lower calorie. Instead of manipulating the wine with additives or chemicals, we harvest our grapes earlier in the year from cooler sites, farmed specifically to ripen fruit at lower sugar levels. Not too sweet, not too acidic – but a light, crisp, and refreshing taste that’s just right. Grapes for Liquid Light wines are grown in cool regions throughout the Columbia Valley in Washington State, including from older vines in the Yakima Valley. These Yakima Valley sites are cooler and have great soils, allowing for larger canopies to shade the fruit. This lets us pick at the perfect time to preserve bright acidity and naturally lower sugar levels.
