Col Solare Bottega Opens in Woodinville
New Location To Offer A “Taste of Red Mountain” on the West Side
Seattle area wine lovers can experience a “Taste of Red Mountain” in Woodinville when Col Solare, the esteemed winemaking partnership between Washington’s Chateau Ste. Michelle and Marchesi Antinori of Italy, opens the doors to the new Col Solare Bottega tasting room and wine shop on September 15, 2011.
Located within Chateau Ste. Michelle, the Bottega (an Italian word for shop, in a nod to the winery’s joint Italian and Washington heritage) will offer visitors the chance to taste, purchase, and enjoy Col Solare wines on the west side of the Cascade Mountains, as well as providing a preview of the guest experience at the winery’s stunning Red Mountain estate winery and vineyard on the east side of the state.
“We’re excited to share the Col Solare experience with visitors to Woodinville at the new Bottega, which feels like a miniature version of our Red Mountain tasting room,” said Col Solare Winemaker Marcus Notaro. “We hope that this “taste of Red Mountain” will also encourage guests to the Bottega to come experience the real thing at our estate winery and vineyard.”
After a sold-out Grand Opening event on September 14th, the Col Solare Bottega at Chateau Ste. Michelle will be open by appointment for individual and small group tasting appointments seven days a week from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. beginning September 15th. Each 45-minute appointment will include an overview of the Col Solare story and tasting of three vintages of the Col Solare Bordeaux-style blend, at a cost of $20 per visitor. Reservations can be made by calling 425-415-3330.
Located on Red Mountain, Col Solare is a partnership between two influential wine producers who are recognized leaders in their regions: Washington’s Chateau Ste. Michelle and Marchesi Antinori of Tuscany, crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine through the uniting of two unique viticultural and winemaking cultures.
