Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Eastern Washington Tasting Gallery Reopens May-September 2012
Paterson, Wash.
Chateau Ste. Michelle recently reopened the Tasting Gallery at its Canoe Ridge Estate red winery in Paterson, Washington. The Tasting Gallery is open to the public May – September 2012, Thursday through Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
Guests will experience an intimate tasting of single vineyard and reserve wines, while enjoying spectacular views overlooking the Columbia River. The winery sits high upon the Canoe Ridge bluffs, located adjacent to its Vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate, which is LIVE and Salmon Safe certified.
Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two state-of-the-art winemaking facilities, one devoted to whites and another to reds. This dedicated approach to winemaking allows head winemaker Bob Bertheau to customize each winery to the unique specifications of red and white wines. Bob works with Wendy Stuckey, white winemaker, at the winery’s popular Woodinville Chateau, while he and Raymon McKee, red winemaker, craft red wines at the Canoe Ridge Estate winery.
Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Canoe Ridge Estate Tasting Gallery first opened for public tastings last year, in honor of the vineyard’s 20th anniversary celebration. “We’re thrilled to offer tasting experiences east of the Cascades again, says Bob Bertheau, head winemaker. “The Tasting Gallery is a great place for guests to experience the wines and the unique site from which the grapes were grown.”
