Col Solare Auction Lot Was Top-Selling Lot at 25th Annual Auction of Washington Wines

Live Auction Lot Sold for $120K

At the August 18th Auction of Washington Wines Gala, the Col Solare live auction lot made history – selling for $120,000. The “Discover the Roots of Col Solare Deep in the Vineyards of Antinori’s Tuscany,” sold twice for $60,000, helping to raise critical funds for uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Washington State University’s viticulture and enology programs.

“This is the biggest auction lot in the history of this auction,” said Ste. Michelle Wine Estates President and CEO Ted Baseler. Baseler spoke to the crowd that evening on behalf of Chateau Ste. Michelle, the 25th Anniversary honoree.

The Gala dinner and auction took place at Chateau Ste. Michelle under the big tent with more than 700 attendees. Attendees enjoyed a six-course meal prepared by some of the area’s best chefs.
