WHAT: Join us as we honor 40 years of Washington winemaking at our “Celebrating our Roots” fall harvest festival. The event is designed to celebrate Chateau Ste. Michelle’s rich winemaking legacy, while bringing the harvest experience to Woodinville. Enjoy activities including….
• New release wine tastings
• Barrel tastings
• Winemaker bottle signings
• Wine education stations
• Book signing by culinary director John Sarich, author of four cookbooks about Northwest cuisine & wine pairing (noon to 2 p.m.)
• Historical grounds tours, showcasing the rich history of the winery grounds, located on the former Stimson family estate dating back to the early 1900s
• Art walk, featuring local artists
• Chateau Ste. Michelle Artist Series art collection on display

ADMISSION: $30 at the door. Admission includes a complimentary tasting glass.

BACKROUND:
This year marks Chateau Ste. Michelle’s 40th year of Washington winemaking. Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington state and has been producing classic European varietal wines under the Chateau Ste. Michelle label since 1967. The winery combines an ongoing dedication to research with a commitment to classic winemaking traditions. The winery owns 3,400 acres of vineyards in the Columbia Valley of eastern Washington, including Canoe Ridge Estate and Cold Creek. Chateau Ste. Michelle enjoys winemaking partnerships with two of the world’s most distinguished vintners. Col Solare is an alliance with Tuscany’s Piero Antinori and Eroica Riesling is a partnership with the Mosel’s Ernst Loosen.
