Erath and Snoqualmie named “Hot Prospects” by Impact
Ste. Michelle Wineries recognized for wine quality and growth
Woodinville, Wash – Two Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ wineries, Erath and Snoqualmie, were named “2008 Impact Hot Prospect Brands” in the September issue of Impact Global Newsletter. Erath earned its second Hot Prospect award, and Snoqualmie received its first.
This year, 34 wineries and 19 spirits companies were named 2008 Impact Hot Prospect Brands. The criteria for this industry award included: Depletions of at least 50,000 cases, but not over 200,000 in 2008 and at least 15% growth in 2008 and consistent growth in 2006 and 2007.
“The company’s success is particularly noteworthy because Ste. Michelle has been leading the charge in bringing non-California wines to the forefront of the U.S. market…Ste. Michelle’s success has shown the ability to thrive in the mainstream with domestic premium-and-above offerings originating from less publicized wine-growing regions...”
Based in Oregon’s Dundee Hills, Erath has played a major role in creating Oregon’s wine industry and solidifying its reputation as a world class wine region.
Snoqualmie winery was one of the first wineries in Washington state to craft wines from USDA-certified organically grown grapes, and currently has the largest number of certified organic vineyard acres in the state.
“…The 34 wines awarded Hot Prospect status are great examples that the diverse landscape of U.S. wine consumption will continue to thrive, and consumers will be able to find a variety of products to meet their demands amid any economic environment.”
