Kari Leitch Named Vice President of Communications at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Washington’s premier wine company and one of the top 10 premium wine companies in the U.S., has named Kari Leitch Vice President of Communications.

Leitch, who joined Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in 1996, was previously the Senior Director of Communications for the company, overseeing communications programs for Ste. Michelle’s domestic wine brands in Washington, Oregon, and California as well as the company’s import portfolio, including Antinori and Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.

Chateau Ste. Michelle 2006 Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet Named to Wine Spectator “Top 100”

Chateau Ste. Michelle’s 2006 Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon placed #38 on Wine Spectator’s list of the “Top 100” wines of 2009. The magazine reviewed 17,000 wines during the past 12 months and selected “the most exciting” for their Top 100. It was one of nine Washington state wines to make this year's list. This marks the 15th Chateau Ste. Michelle Top 100 wine in the last 15 years and the third Canoe Ridge Estate wine to make the prestigious list.

Chateau Ste. Michelle and Erath Wineries Partner with Northwest Restaurants to Support Viticulture & Enology Programs at Washington and Oregon Universities

Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, Wash. is partnering with Washington and Oregon restaurants to support the second annual “Raise a Glass, Fund a Scholarship” program to benefit Viticulture and Enology programs at Washington State University. In Oregon, Chateau Ste. Michelle will join Erath Winery of Dundee and Oregon restaurants in supporting Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences program. Nearly 200 restaurants in Washington and Oregon are participating in the Raise A Glass, Fund a Scholarship program, which runs now through the end of December 2009.
