Producers & Enthusiasts Worldwide Converge at Chateau Ste. Michelle for the 3rd Riesling Rendezvous

Woodinville, Wash.

More than 600 Riesling devotees gathered on the grounds of Chateau Ste. Michelle on Sunday, July 11 to experience the finest Rieslings from around the world at the Riesling Rendezvous Grand Tasting. Hosted by Chateau Ste. Michelle, the leading North American Riesling producer and Dr. Loosen, the famed German Riesling estate, the third Riesling Rendezvous featured wineries from Germany, Alsace, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, California, New York and New Jersey. Attendees also enjoyed an array of Riesling friendly foods prepared by Chateau Ste. Michelle Culinary Director John Sarich and Executive Chef Janet Hedstrom.

Conn Creek Introduces Herrick Red

New Wine Celebrates Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon Blending Expertise

ST. HELENA, CA -- Napa Valley winery Conn Creek has announced the introduction of a new wine, Herrick Red, to its family of acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignons and Bordeaux-styled wines. The inaugural 2007 vintage will release in September and be available nationwide at a suggested retail price of $18.

Antinori Releases Inaugural 2004 Pian delle Vigne Riserva

Marchesi Antinori of Tuscany has just released its first Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG from the famous Pian delle Vigne estate in Montalcino, Italy. The 2004 Pian delle Vigne Vignaferrovia Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG is a single-vineyard wine named for its hilltop location overlooking the picturesque 19th century railway (or ferrovia) that crosses the estate.

Cold Creek and Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyards Earn Salmon Safe and LIVE Certification

After a rigorous two-year certification process, Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Cold Creek and Canoe Ridge Estate vineyards have earned third-party sustainable certification for LIVE and Salmon Safe. The Washington state winery will add the LIVE and Salmon Safe certification on its Cold Creek and Canoe Ridge Estate single vineyard wine labels beginning with the 2009 vintage wines.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville will kick off its 27th summer concert series on June 12th with a performance by Crosby, Stills & Nash. Tickets for the winery’s concerts will go on sale Saturday, April 24th at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets or online at ticketmaster.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Riesling Rendezvous Grand Tasting July 11th to Feature 70 Wineries from Around the World

Wine lovers will have an unprecedented opportunity to explore the finest Rieslings from seven countries and six U.S. states at the Riesling Rendezvous Grand Tasting Sunday, July 11, 2010. Hosted by Chateau Ste. Michelle, the leading North American Riesling producer and Dr. Loosen, the famed German Riesling estate, the Grand Tasting will be held on the grounds of Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, located 15 miles northeast of Seattle, from 5-8 p.m. Winemakers from Germany, Alsace, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, California, New York and New Jersey will be on hand to celebrate the versatility and enjoyment of Riesling. In addition to showcasing their finest Rieslings, many winemakers will bring a “surprise wine” from their winery to share. An array of Riesling friendly foods will also be featured.
