The contest challenged food and wine lovers throughout the United States to create and submit an original recipe inspired by Columbia Crest wines and utilizing ingredients from Washington state. The recipe competition is part of a partnership between the acclaimed Washington-based winery and Flay that highlights the unexpected rewards of dining with Columbia Crest Grand Estates wines.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville will kick off its 25th summer concert series on June 6th with a special performance by Crosby Stills & Nash. Tickets for the winery’s concerts will go on sale Saturday, April 26th at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Columbia Crest winery will celebrate its 25th anniversary of being open to the public this year. In June 1983, the winery and visitor center were officially dedicated and opened to the public. At the time, the winery represented a $26 million investment in the future of Washington state winemaking. Today, Columbia Crest is Washington state’s largest winery and continues to be one of America’s most popular wines and a leader in the industry.

Washington’s founding winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle, recently named Wendy Stuckey as its new white winemaker. Stuckey will report to head winemaker Bob Bertheau and manage day to day operations at Chateau Ste. Michelle’s white wine cellar in Woodinville, Washington outside of Seattle. (Chateau Ste. Michelle also has a winery dedicated to red wines located in Eastern Washington.)
